The new year is fast on its way since we just celebrated the New Year. As you reflect back on the previous year, would there be any changes that you may want to make, as to prevent the same problems from happening to you in the new year?
where do you go from here, do you remain the same, or do you want change to come?
Many of us make a decision to read the entire Bible within a year; we start off with the right intentions, but then we make excuses as to why we fail to fulfill the resolution.
Well, what is our next step, do we start over or wait until next year? Our heart is in the right place, but we sidestep the doing and the final committing.
Instead of making the New Years resolution, just make it a lifestyle of everyday living. Start off each day with prayer, and reading the word before you get your day started. Our day will go smoother with Jesus in the am and ending in the pm.
There use to be an old phrase years ago, it went like this," they have a boarding house reach," So called because the lodgers at a boardinghouse, dining at the same time, might have to reach past each other for dishes and condiments.
Nounthe lodgers at a boardinghouse, dining at the same time, might have to reach past each other for dishes and condiments.
2.The act of reaching across a table to get desired food, often considered poor etiquette because it invades others' personal space.
This would be considered rude to invade one's space, but if we take this boarding house reach, and implement this into our walk with Christ, by invading others space with the gospel, we would have a great outreach. So let's use our boarding house reach to fill others hearts and minds with spiritual food. The milk and meat of the word, Jesus is the word, bread of life.
Reaching out to one another in love, and spread the message of the cross, we would have a great boarding house reach. Why not start today?
The first thing comes to my mind is to tell you what and how I write. I ask the Lord to give to me the thoughts and words to make your heart lighter and brighter. To be that extra source of hope, and bring joy today. To give wisdom and his mighty word to pierce the heart and to bring light into your darkness.
Have you ever really thought about just how you may be helping someone with your words of strength, or with your shoulder to lean on? I have given some thought to this question to myself.
God wants us to be his hand extended, to reach out to the lost, and the hopeless. To give that hug for the sick and lonely. We are his instruments, his workmanship, his handiwork designed to help one another. Praise God, just want to let you know dear ones, that God will give you the words at the right time, today the Biblegateway verse of the day just happens to be this..Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colossians 3:16 KJV
Fits right in with what I am writing to you, God knows what he is doing, at the right time and at the correct moment. He really is an on time God. So if we pray and seek his face, and do as his words states for us to do, I guess we really are making a difference for Christ.
Never forget that God has not forsaken us, he is still there with us, guiding us with his word, and by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Let him speak peace to your heart, and mind, to give you the reassurance that he is still there.
I know dear sisters in Christ, we get overwhelmed with life. Life can be really hard and actually somewhat unfair. But God is never unfair, he is a just and loving Father. If we can learn to rely on him and to trust in him and his word, we would do ourselves a favor.
He still loves us, he is waiting for you to make that move to speak with him about your situation, to commune with the Father.
Why do we as women of faith wait so long to reach out to the only one that loves us unconditionally? Have you ever wondered why we as women of faith get to this point? Life can be a big distraction, from family issues to work-related problems. But God is still there waiting patiently for us. God has not left nor forsaken us, just try to remember to rely on him and his care.
In our usual daily grind of going to work, getting the kids off to school, cleaning the house, billing, you name it, certainly can be overwhelming. Have you ever considered others that may just be going through something a little more than just the day?
When we walk in our journey of life, we may come across many that are hurting by addictions, or someone in their path may be dealing with an addiction. Or, it may be they are about to lose their home and do not know where they may take their loved ones to a place of safety. These really are major concerns for someone, and especially if they do not know our Lord and Savior. They may not have the assurance of a heavenly father that would meet their need. We should be a beacon of hope, a translucent light to others that see Christ within our hearts and lives. We must be transparent enough to should his ligh
Give to them the hope that was once placed into your heart, a life that may not be perfect, but one of blessed assurance of a Father that loves and cares for everyone. Show them Jesus, speak of his love and give them his word. Shine this light unto all that you may come in contact with. You may be that life preserver to that one that is drowning from a hard life. Jesus said to go out and spread the good news, give him to others. We as women of faith serve with grace.
Proverbs 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Enter your morning with a prayer, speak to the Lord. Ask him to direct your day, your walk, and your path. Remember that song, lead me Lord and I will follow, this is great prayer in song. Bless the Lord with praise and thanksgiving for everything he has brought you through, give thanks to your father. He has brought us through each day, no matter what sort of day it may have been for each of us, he still has brought us through.
When you wake tp seek him, commune with your Lord.
Ps 9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
He has never forsaken nor left us, he is just a prayer away. Have a talk with him each and every day, learn to know his voice and the proding of the Holy Spirit. Let the beginning of your day and the ending, be in converstion with the Lord.
He will pour water on your weary and unrestful soul. Ever felt like your walking through a dry and barren land? Do you just need more ... every part of you is crying Lord take all this from me. You want him to hear your prayer, as you kneel before him to seek him.
He will quench your thirsty soul; he is there to make you feel whole again. Your baron soul will have his love poured over you by his Holy Spirit. He will come to those that seek and humble themselves and seek his wonderful face.
Feeling lost and alone, as if no one sees you, walks past you as if you are invisible. No one seems to care, or even show love towards you anymore. Just a moment of taking for granted appears in your heart that feels broken.
Pray and ask the one that loves you unconditionally, all he is wants is you. No payment required, just your acceptence of his love. Let him pour water on your dry and thirsty spirit. He will love and adore you like no one ever has loved you before. Let him pour rain on your weary and hungry heart.
6.Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6,7 KJV
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
I know I have felt this way before, as if I was all alone, no one caring, crying inside myself, wanting to blurt out help me so loud I could cry it out loud. He never left me, I needed to come back to him in prayer for all my needs. I so needed this wonderful Lord, wonderful Savior. All of our days are held into his hands, wrapped into his perfect plan. Go into his perfect presence, let his Spirit fill you with his love and mercy. He never left, Jesus wants to pour water into your dry and thirsty soul. Ask him to fill you and life with his love. Give your life to the Potters hand.
